Bollywood’s cricket connection

Lagaan was not the first connection between Cricket and Bollywood. Cricket and Bollywood, apart from entertaining have some more connections. Wondering how? A number of cricket players have been bowled by the fair maidens from Bollywood. All this has been triggered by the Yuvraj Singh and Deepika Padukone romance and subsequent split.
This was one romance that triggered the nation’s imagination. The romance started off with people assuming that it was the Indian cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni who was smitten by Deepika Padukone. But soon it was Yuvraj who was by the tall leggie beauty’s side.
India’s stylish left handed batsman Yuvraj Singh does not seem to have had enough of Bollywood actresses. When Deepika flew to Australia to be by his side for his birthday, romance was heavy in the air. Prince Charming had found his pretty damsel.
But soon there was a twist in the tale। While shooting for Siddharth Anand’s untitled film, Deepika fell in love with her co-star, Saawariya hero, Ranbir Kapoor। Yuvi’s love story ended when Deepika chose to end it with an SMS. Yuvi is single and ready to mingle.

Yuvraj Singh, the southpaw dasher was also dating model-turned actress Kim Sharma and the two seemed quite serious about one another.
They were a couple for two years, before Yuvraj’s mother decided that having an actress was not what she wanted as a daughter-in-law। Soon after, they split.
